In a magical region of the Peloponnese in the southwestern edge of Messinia, overlooking the endless blue of the Ionian Sea and the imposing island "Proti", we created our small paradise. In a total green area of 20,000 m2 close … to the sea awaits you a modern and functional enviroment for the most comfortable holidays. The Olympic size swimming pool surrounded by the 24h pool bar-cafe promise relaxing and joyfull moments. To make your accomodation more pleasant we provide a beach volley court, a basket court as well as a playground. We also offer swimming lessons for our young friends. For those of you who are more active you can have dive lessons discovering the beauties of sea ground. On our family run campsite with started point our many years of experience and with respect to the enviroment and the camper a warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you

Located in heart of the south coast of messinia near Marathopolis a small village of about 750 habitants, located among the towns of Pylos and Kyparissia (30 km), just 7 km far from the town of Gargaliani, camping proti provides … an easy pass to the archaeological and natural monuments the region. Marathopolis village or Marathos belongs to the province of Triphylia. It is a location on the southwest place of Messinia. It is a fishermen`s village along the sea with wonderful seashores and beaches all around. The local people are engaged in two main activities: fishing on one hand and production of agricultural products, and especially olive oil, on the other.Marathopolis village is mainly a summer destination. On the pedestrian street along the sea, are many taverns and cafes. The port with the fishing boats has been a constant attraction for an evening stroll. From there, it is worth taking the little boat and crossing over to the beautiful island of Proti. From October until April, Langouvardos beach is the ideal place for surf. Many surfers around Europe visit this beach throughout all this period. (Distance: 2km).
